Static Beds (12 Tons and 25 Tons)

Static Beds are industrial-scale fixed bed adsorption systems or reactors containing solid, stationary adsorbent materials such as activated carbon, silica gel, or catalysts. These systems are designed for treating fluids by allowing contaminants or reactants to interact with the adsorbent surface as they flow through the bed.

Key Details:

Category: Industrial Adsorption / Fixed Bed Reactor

Chemical Composition: Not a single chemical. The beds are packed with materials such as Activated Carbon (C) or specialized catalytic solids.

Description:

  • Structure: Stationary vessel or column filled with granular solid particles.
  • Operation: A liquid or gas stream flows through the fixed bed, usually top-to-bottom, allowing adsorption or chemical reactions to occur on the surface of the packed solids.
  • Capacity: Systems are available in 12-ton and 25-ton capacities, referring to the total mass of adsorbent material within the column.
  • Adsorption/Reaction: Designed for long-term, high-volume stationary adsorption, often for environmental control such as removing pollutants from exhaust gas.

Common Uses / Applications:

  • Air Pollution Control: Removing VOCs and other airborne contaminants.
  • Water Treatment: Removing inorganic and organic pollutants from industrial effluents.
  • Catalyst Support: Serving as a stationary bed for chemical reactions.
  • Chemical Purification: Used in various industries to purify gases or liquids.

These large-scale static bed systems provide reliable, stationary adsorption or reaction solutions until the adsorbent is saturated and requires regeneration or replacement.
